This is a baby shower invitation I made for my God-daughter CarolMarie and her husband Neal. I really love the way it came out and was truly inspired by Carol. There were many elements to the card and every one was worth it. Let me knw what you think by leaving me a comment.
I first cut out the onesie with my Big Shot out of Bashful Blue Card Stock (we know Carol & Neal are having a boy). Although the onesie die is by sissix it is not from Stampin’ Up! but I love it. Then with White Embossing Powder, the rattle image from the Teddy and Train Samp Set, and Versa Mark, I embossed the rattle on the onesie. With my Crop-A-Dile I added two Silver Eyelets to resemble snaps.
For the bib I stamped the teddy bear from the Cute and Cuddly Stamp Set in Stazon Black Ink and with my Close to Cocoa Ink and an Aqua Painter I water-colored the bear image. For the bear’s face and inside the ears I used Pretty-In-Pink Ink. For the shadow I used Bashful Blue Ink to give the bear some dimension. I used the ink pads by pushing down on the lid so when I opened the stamp pad a small puddle of color formed on the inside of the lid which I used to dip the Aqua Painter into. I then cut the bib out using my Scallop Oval Die and my Big Shot.
Along each scallop I pierced small hole with my Paper Piercer and I cut along the neckline to match the onesie. I added a bow made for the Bashful Blue Satin Ribbon.
For the inside of the card I used computer generated type. Here is a portion of it.
