This is another card we made in the Easter/ Spring class. I love purple and yellow together even though they are complementary (opposite) colors on the color wheel and when mixed produce the neutral color grey. I even have a purple and yellow garden which the deer love as much as I do.
For the card above I cut:
10″ x 7″ piece of So Saffron Card Stock and scored it at 5″
4-1/2″x 6-1/2″ piece of Almost Amethyst Card Stock
4-1/4″ x 6-1/4″ Whisper White Card Stock
To mount the butterflies I cut:
1-1/2″ x 2″ pieces of Regal Rose, So Saffron and Almost Amethyst Card Stocks
For the butterflies I used the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die, Big Shot and Almost Amethyst, So Saffron and Sending Love Designer Series Paper
For the card band I cut a 6-1/4″ x 1-1/2″ piece of Almost Amethyst Designer Series Paper and along the long edge I used the Scallop Border Punch
The greeting was stamped from the Eggcoutrements Stamp Set and cut it out with the Designer Label Punch. This is a great set as it coordinates with various Stampin’ Up punches. I placed the greeting in a Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware, used a piece of So Saffron Grosgrain Ribbon.
Before layering the card as shown I added a pierced design to each corner with the Paper Piercing Tool and Mat Pack.
