Victorian Valentine’s Day Cone…

Good Morning Lakeside Stamper Friends!

Here is a simple Victorian Valentine’s Day Cone I designed for my class.

Victorian Valentine's Day Cone front

Since it’s close to Valentine’s Day I made this cone out of Real Red Card Stock with the help of my favorite Elegant Embossing Folder paper-crafting companion, The Big Shot and the Petal Cone Die featured in Stampin’ Up!’s new Occasions Mini Catalog.  I took each cone, placed it in the Elegant Embossing Folder and ran it through my Big Shot.I have many other designs for this die and will share them with you soon.

Victorian Valentine's Day Cone Side At any rate, instead of folding the flaps of the Petal Cone down I kept them up. To decorate them, I punched two 2-3/8″ Scallop Circles, paper pierced around the edge with my Paper Piercing Tool and Mat Pack and cut the circles in half. I then stamped the largest circle image from the Circle Circus Stamp Set in Regal Rose Ink on three of the half circles, one for each side and one for the back.

Detail Valentine's Day Cone Front I left the front scallop circle plain, because I wanted to feature the new Stampin’ Up! Vintage Flowers on it. On a piece of Whisper White Card Stock I stamped the Be My Valentine  heart in Regal Rose Ink

Bow & Ribbon Detail Petal Cone

Using Whisper White Organza Ribbon,

I made a handle and anchored it behind each side scallop.

On top I made a pretty bow and adhered everything as shown.
