Backyard Basics: Coastal Cabana Card

Backyard Basics Cards

Today's card is the one I promised to share with you on Tuesday.  This card was made simply by flipping the Eastern Elegance Designer Paper around and using the back print. How different the color is from Tuesday's card!

Backyard Basics

This card was made using the cutting directions from Tuesday's Card  Instead of the Daffodil Bow a strip of Coastal Cabana Ruffle Stretch Trim was used. Love, love, love this trim! And. it's available in all the new 2013-15 In-Colors

Rhinestones were added to the Eastern Elegance DSP strip and Wah-La or Viola, whichever you prefer.. a new look to the same card!

Stampin’ Up!: Backyard Basics Card

Daffodil Delight Bow

This card was created using the new Stampin' Up! Backyard Basics Stamp Set and Framelits Bundle.  I love how you can just stamp or just die cut or stamp and die cut your projects.   Oh, what's a girl to do with so many choices???

Backyard Basics Card

I have to admit I love Daffodil Delight and Smokey Slate combination. While the Stampin' Up! Eastern Elegance Designer Series Paper was a great inspiration for this card, the photo to the left is a picture of an Easter outfit I had, a looong time ago, in exactly those colors~gray and yellow.  It is my all time favorite outfit because of the color combination.

This card was made from a card base of Smokey Slate (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" scored at 4-1/4") and layered with Whisper White (3-3/4" x 5").  The Whisper White layer was embossed with the Lacey Brocade Embossing Folder.

With a scrap piece of Smokey Slate the Apothecary Accents Framelits was used. On another scrap piece of Whisper White the tulip (another favorite of mine) from the Backyard Basics was stamped in Smokey Slate Ink, colored with pencil, then cut out with the Backyards Basics Framelits.

A (1-1/4" x 5") strip of Eastern Elegance Designer Series Paper was cut and adhered up the side, but not before a pretty Daffodil Delight Seam Binding bow was made.

So, don't forget with Backyard Basics, there is NO cutting.  This gorgeous stamp set coordinates beautifully with the Backyard Basics Framelits!  Even better, you can get this in a bundle and save money!

It has so many great elements I love such as a beautiful bird, a speckled EGG… oh my.  And if you haven't ordered the Magnetic Platform, it's the best invention yet…  If you love to die cut, this will make your creative die cut life fabulous.

To see just how versatile these Stampin' Up! products are, check back later this week for the same card done in different colors.

See you soon.
