November Calendar:

For the November Calendar of course Giving Thanks and turkey came to mind. I tried to combine the two for this month. The  Season of Friendship and Voila Stamp Sets are so very versatile. See if you agree? Sorry about the "Hot Spot" under the chef but I think the Shimmer Ink caused it.

And here's what I did:

I took the piece of Whisper White Card Stock and stamped the top half of the chef from the Voila Stamp Set in Basic Black Ink.  I then stamped leaves from the Season of Friendship Stamp Set in Real Red, Crushed Curry, Garden Green and Dusty Durango Inks around the chef and the edge of the card stock. Of course I cleaned the stamp in between colors with my Stampin' Scrub.  On another small piece of Whisper White Card Stock I stamped the turkey  from the Voils Accessories Stamp Set in Basic Black Ink, colored it in with my Water-Color Pencils, cut it out and adhered it with 2 Stampin'  Dimensionals. The tray was colored with Platinum Shimmer Ink and an Aqua Painter. On yet another small piece of Whisper White Card Stock I stamped the greeting, "Give Thanks" from the Holiday Best Stamp Set in Chocolate Chip Ink and punched it out with the Scallop Oval Punch. I then punched out a Wide Oval out of Chocolate Chip Card Stock. I have to tell you I love the Holiday Best Stamp Set and have used it in so many projects. I layered the scallop oval onto the Chocolate Chip oval. I had these shiny leaf brads so I placed one through both ovals. Just a note here, the greeting is a tight squeeze for the scallop punch but it works as you can see. I layered everything as above and on Thanksgiving Day on the calendar I stamped the acorn from The More the Merrier Hostess Stamp Set and colored it in with my Stampin' Up Markers.

Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

September Calendar: Autumn’s Blessings

I know I'm a little behind in the calendar corner but I didn't get a chance until now to design September and as you will soon see October's calendar. Here is what we did at Friday's class. Even though September is over this calendar can be used next year as well. I will have an up-date calendar class in which the calendar part will be replaced with 2010 calendars.

And here's what I did:
I took the piece of Baja Breeze Card Stock and layered it with torn pieces of the Old Olive and Dusty Durango Card Stocks. Using Loads of Love and Loads of Love Accessories Stamp Sets I stamped the car on Crushed Curry Card Stock  and female driver on Whisper White Card Stock  in Basic Black Ink. I used the new Platinum Shimmer Ink and an Aqua Painter and colored in the bumpers and hub-caps on the car. Using my Markers I colored in the female driver and cut both pieces out. I then  stamped the pumpkin and wheat vignette from the Happy Blessings Stamp Set in Basic Black Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock, colored them in with my Markers and cut both images out. Again using the Loads of Love Accessories Stamp Set I stamped the "happy harvest" greeting in Dusty Durango Ink on Whisper White Card Stock and punched it out with the Scallop Oval Punch. For the falling leaves I simply tore tiny pieces of Only Orange, Old Olive, Real Red and Crushed Curry Card Stocks. I layered everything as shown above.

Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY HARVEST!
