Baby Shoe…

I’ve wanted to make this baby shoe for a while now, and when I saw a version in the Stampin’ Up! Idea Book and Catalog, it reminded me to try and make one. The template I used for this was originally found on the Interent.

Completed So Saffron Baby Shoe

I first played around a bit with the pattern Whenever, I design or try to use a pattern, I usually make a fast mock-up of the project with regular printer paper.

Practice Baby Shoes

I started with a piece of mylar I have, from when I make my quilting templates, and traced out the pattern with a Sharpie and cut it out.

I used the pattern and traced it out in pencil, on So Saffron Card Stock.

I then cut out the shoe and stamped it with the flower image from Hello Again stamp set in So Saffron Ink. This gives the card stock a bit of dimension and resembles Designer Series Paper.

Cut Out & Stamped Baby Shoe

The shoe was assembled by taping the tabs to the sole of the shoe. With the  Flower Fusion Sizzlit Die and the Big Shot I cut, Pretty-In-Pink, Bashful Blue and Whisper White  flowers. I cut leaves out of Old Olive with the Little Leaves Sizzlit Die.

I used Subtles Brads in the center of each flower

For the finishing touch, I added the new Stampin’ Up! Old Olive  Scallop Dots Ribbon across the strap and a Pretty-In-Pink Designer Button on the side.

These baby shoes would be the perfect baby shower favor. I’m also working on a boys version and with the new Stampin’ Up! Glitter Paper I’m trying to replicate Dorothy’s Ruby Slippers. I’ll share these with you when I’m done playing.

If you decide to make this project, attach your creation in an EMAIL and If you use all Stampin’ Up! product I’ll feature it on my blog!

Until tomorrow, make it a great day!
