Leaves of a Tree: Anniversary Card…

Saturday was my niece Laura & Chris' First Wedding Anniversary. Last year I made their Wedding Invitation which you can SEE HERE. Since they were married in the Autumn and their wedding card had Autumn leaves on it I decided to use the Stampin' Up! Leaves of a Tree. Perfect for a first Autumn Wedding Anniversary!

Leaves of a Tree Anniversary Card

I started this card with a base of Bravo Burgundy (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" scored at 4-1/2") card stock and layered it with Very Vanilla (5" x 3-3/4"), Tangerine Tango (4-1/2" x 3-1/4"), Bravo Burgundy (3-1/4" x 3-1/4") and Very Vanilla (3" x 3")

Leaves of a Tree Detail

On the 3" x 3" piece of Very Vanilla I stamped  the Leaves of a Tree image by using the Huffing Technique for inking up my stamp.

The Huffing Technique is used when you want to ink your stamp up with several colors using Markers. Once the stamp is inked you then Huff on it. What it means is you breathe on a stamp to re-wet the ink with your breath. It's the same theory when you fog up a window or mirror, so you can write your name on it with your finger. This works well when using non-permanent markers, such as Stampin' Up!'s water based markers.

I embossed the Tangerine Tango with the Houndstooth Embossing Folder and the Big Shot.

I made a four loop bow. You make a regular bow only don't stop at two loops, you stop at four. For the middle of the bow I wrapped and knotted another piece of ribbon, made the tails smaller and let them peek out as well.

Ain’t Love Grand: Anniversary Card…

Today is Janet and Paul's Anniversary! Janet, Paul, John and I have been friends for over 26 years. A lifetime of shared memories. This is the card I made for them to celebrate their marital bliss.

Ain't Love Grand Anniversary Card This card was outfitted in 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" Basic Black and 5" x 3-3/4" Very Vanilla Card Stock.

On the Very Vanilla I used the Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder to dress up the Very Vanilla. On some of the flower centers, I placed a Basic Pearl.

Ain't Love Grnd Detail

I cut two concentric ovals out with my Coluzzle; one in Very Vanilla and the other in Basic Black. On the Very Vanilla Oval I stamped the bride and groom old fashioned car from the fun hostess stamp set, Ain't Love Grand, in Basic Black Ink. On a piece of Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Series Paper I stamped the car again and cut out the car body. I glued the  Designer Series Paper cut out on to the car with Tombow Multi Purpose Glue.

With Markers I colored in the bride, the groom and sky. I layered the ovals as shown, keeping the Very Vanilla Oval high to leave room for the Basic Pearl arch I created on the bottom. I adhered the oval on the card base and wrapped the oval in Basic Pearls. I used the smallest attached pearls to en-circle the oval. It was a breeze using the edge of the oval to line up the pearls.

There you have it! Happy Anniversary Janet & Paul. Ain't love grand???
