These two cards we made at my last class. Simple templates were made for both the romper and sundress.
The boys romper was made out of the Stampin' Up! Summer Smoochies (125409) Designer Series Paper. The color combination, of Island Indigo and Tangerine Tango work because blue and orange are opposite each other on the color wheel. They are complementary colors which make a strange pair, because, while they are opposite each other, they require each other to seem more intense. For that reason I chose them.
For the sundress card the Summer Smoochies Designer Series Paper was used as well. I mixed up the patterned paper I thought worked well. I knew I wanted to use the floral print for the main dress which is mostly blue. For the under-neath blouse I used yellow and for the background, Real Red Card Stock was used, When I got done I realized I used what are called primary colors on the color wheel. Primary colors are colors which cannot be made by mixing any other colors. The purest of colors.
I didn't mean to go into color theory for this post, but it just lent itself to it.
Use my card to make your own cardboard template for the romper and sundress, I'll try to make a PDF template for you in the near future and will post about it when it's available.
