Stampin’ Up!: Serene Silhouettes Thank You

Because of our house fire, I have been working piece mill with my Stampin’ Up! business.  What I mean by piece mill, is I’m working with few supplies, materials and a teeny tiny workspace.  I’m not complaining, this is just a lead in to my share today.  During this whole process many, many people have offered me help with supplies.  My up-line Cathy Parlitsis is one of these people.  About a month ago I called Cathy and asked her if I could borrow some Pretty-in-Pink and Chocolate Chip card stock for a workshop, and of course she said without hesitation, “Yes!”  When I got to Cathy’s house she had a bag full of goodies for me.  This is the card I made for Cathy, who is one of the most generous, funny, sincere and best up-line a girl can have.  Thank you Cathy and this one’s for you!

For Cathy’s card I cut the usual base of 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ of Very Vanilla and scored it at 4-1/4″ Then I cut a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of Baja Breeze and along one edge I used one of the Finishing Touches Edgelit. After the edge was cut I ran the whole Baja Breeze piece through the BIG Shot again with the Lacey Brocade Embossing Folder I used the Stampin’ Up! Serene Silhouettes Stamp Set. I ran a 4″ x 4″ piece of Very Vanilla through the BIG Shot with the Delicate Doilies Sizlits DIe..  Once the Very Vanilla was cut, I stamped the branch and bird image, after inking the image up with a Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip Marker. I then cut a 4″ x 4″ piece of Chocolate Chip and cut another doily out. On this one I left all the outer cut details in tack so, the Chocolate Chip would show through.

Stampin' Up! Hearts A Flotter DieFor the greeting, “Sending Many Thanks” I used the Petite Pairs Stamp Set and Baja Breeze Ink. Again with my handy dandy BIG Shot I lined up the message with one of the tag shape from the Hearts A Flutter Framelits. Once it was cut, I layered the card as shown, tying a piece of Chocolate Chip Ribbon around. I adhered the tag on the ribbon with a dimensional. I outlined the tag border in pearls.  I also embellished the branch and bird image with pearls as a finishing touch for this heartfelt thank you to my dear friend, Cathy,

Visit again soon and until then pull out your stamps!!!
