Hello Friends! I call this the Sheer Perfection Little Box, because I used the Stampin Up! Sheer Perfection Paper Stack from Sale-A-Bration, which is a designer series printed vellum; hence the Sheer Perfection name. But, I also think this little box is perfect for jewelry gifts, wedding favors, gift cards and table place settings. This is one designed using the perfect paper rose and I have several other designs made, but they’re for sharing this Autumn and Winter. Ahh, something to look forward to…
This Sheer Perfection Box is quite simple to make. I first designed it with the 6″ x 6″ paper stack papers in mind, but changed the size to 5″ x 5″, so two bottoms could be cut from one 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of cardstock. With the 6″ x 6″ design only one bottom could be cut per sheet.
This is the template and dimensions I used:
*The score lines on this box were made all around, at 1-1/4″ for the bottom and at 3/4″ for the lid.
Here’s a close up of two of the cut corners:
The box bottom was cut from Mint Macaron Cardstock. (love this color) scored, the corners were cut and assembled according to diagram.
Next the lid was cut from one sheet of the Sheer Perfection and one from the Pretty Petals Designer Series Papers. See dimensions diagram for size. The two papers were adhered together with dabs of Multi~Purpose Glue on the dark areas, so the glue wouldn’t show. Once the glue was dry, the glued layers were scored, the corners were cut and the lid was assembled. The photo to the left shows how the Pretty Petals Paper shows through the Sheer Perfection Vellum.
The box was decorated with a simple paper rose that was cut from the Spiral Flower Die and the BIG Shot. To see how to make this rose CLICK HERE
And, that’s how you make this Sheer Perfection Little Box! Try making one or two of your own
