This actually was our Christmas Card last year. Talk about a late post! But this is the first day of the “Twelve Days of Holiday Cards & Projects” hence the first Holiday card. When ever I make Christmas/Holiday cards I try to make them into ornaments. If I’m spending this much time hand making a card I really don’t want people tossing them out after the holiday season has passed.
STAMP SET:
Season of Friendship
INK:
Versa Mark
PAPER:
Garden Green Card Stock
Whisper White Card Stock
ACCESSORIES:
White, Red & Gold Embossing Powder
Big Shot “Top Note” Die
Dazzling Diamonds
Gold Elastic Cording
Rhinestone & Star embellishments
Here’s what I did:
Using The Big Shot and the Top Note Die I cut one die out of Whisper White and one out of Garden Green Card Stock. I then tore the bottom of the Whisper White Top Note for the snow and adhered it to the Garden Green. I stamped the tree from the Season of Friendship Stamp Set in Versa Mark and embossed it using Gold Embossing Powder and a Heat Gun. I then stamped again, in Versa Mark, the snowflake from the same stamp set randomly on the tree branches. I embossed the snowflakes using White Embossing Powder. The bird was stamped in Real Red Ink to resemble a cardinal in the snow. With the Two-Way Glue Stick I added Dazzling Diamonds to the tree branches and Whisper White Card Stock to resemble snow. In the middle of some of the snowflakes I placed rhinestones. On top of the tree I added a red star I had and added a Gold Elastic Loop for hanging.
See you tomorrow!
