Pinwheel Flower Card…

This is the third card from my “Garden Workshop.” This “so-Simple” to make you will be amazed. 

For the card I cut a 7″ x 10″ piece of Pretty-in-Pink  and scored it at 5″, a 6-1/2″ x 4-1/2″ piece of Whisper White and a 6-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Gable Green Card Stock (soon to be retired). I layered the Whisper White onto the Pretty-in-Pink and the Green Gable onto the Whisper White. On the Green Gable layer I stamped the swirled image from the Priceless Stamp Set in Garden Green Ink. I then stamped, again on Whisper White, the “Happy Birthday” greeting from the Well Scripted Stamp Set also in Garden Green Ink. I punched it out with the Scallop Oval Punch and placed it onto a piece of Garden Green Designer Series Paper from a Hostess Paper Pack which was punched using the Wide Oval Punch.

Now to the card feature, the “Pinwheel Flower.”  You can use any Designer Series Paper. I used a 6″ x 6″ piece from a Hostess Paper Pack. You have to love those packs!  First I  punched eight tags using the Small Tag Punch and folded each one as follows:

I took the right bottom corner and brought it up so the tag was folded diagonally. I then took the tip and folded it down towards the center of the diagonal fold. When I had all eight folded I adhered them into what I call a, “Pinwheel Flower.”

I lined up all the folded tags in the middle and adhered them so they all touched. You need to play around with the placement of the folded tags so the flower doesn’t land off you card. For the center of the flower I used the BoHo Blossoms Punch and punched three flowers out; one in Whisper White, one in Garden Green and the smallest in Pretty-in-Pink. I held them together with a brad and with a dimensional I placed it in the center of the flower.

I adhered the greeting on the lower right side and added four Photo Punches in each corner. Now it’s your turn. Make some of these cards. If you use all Stampin’ Up! products and email me your photo I’ll feature it on my blog on your own gallery page.
