Hi, Lakeside Stamper Readers!
This is an invitation I designed for my niece Laura and her now husband Chris. Laura and Chris had a “Leaf Mask” theme for their wedding. Of course the color they chose was Sage Shadow, now retired, but, I bought lots of packs ahead of time because I knew it was their color. Here are some pictures of the invitation:
For the masks I made a template out of a manila file folder (only the best) and cut it out. I used the template to trace around onto Very Vanilla Card Stock and hand cut, yes hand-cut, every mask out. Then each mask was stamped in VersaMark with the Stampin’ Up! Leaf Lines Stamp Set and embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. I colored each mask with Stampin’ Write Markers. After stamping and coloring I cut out the eye holes. I then made another stencil template for the lips. I used the stencil with a Dauber and Cherry Cobbler Ink to make the lips. Behind each eye I layered a piece of Basic Black Card Stock. On each cheek of the mask I punched two slits to tie the Daffodil Delight Grosgrain Ribbon through. These were a lot of work but they are truly one of a kind and have received many compliments on them.
For the inside I computer generated the text, and printed it out on Very Vanilla Card STock. Then I stamped more leaves randomly in Cajun Craze Ink and hand-colored them. I adhered the Very Vanilla text onto Cajun Craze Card Stock as shown.
This is the “Save the Date” card.
Wedding invitations are a very personal choice and this is exactly what Laura and Chris wanted. I gave them choices of style, colors and themes. Right down to the ribbon the choice was theirs. If you are in need of invitations for any occasion, email me at email@example.com for details and pricing.
Thanks for looking!
