This is a class I offered in January and I’m just getting around to posting it. Back in January when all calendars were on sale, I purchased some with this stamping project in mind. I had the hangers and decided to use them on this continuing calendar class. Every month we make the nexy two month’s calendars. Each calendar shares one sheet of card stock; one month appears on the front and another month appears on the back. Here’s January’s calendar.
RECIPE:
Stamp Sets: To You and Yours
Party Hearty (New Year’s Day Hat)
Season of Friendship (Snowflake)
Winter Post
Ink: Baja Breeze
Chocolate Chip
Versa Mark
Paper Whisper White (8-1/2″ x 8-1/2″) and (7″ x 2-1/4″)
Baja Breeze (7″ x 2-1/4″)
Chocolate Chip (8″ x 8″)
Accessories: White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Dazzling Diamonds, Photo Corner Punch
HERE’S WHAT I DID:
Depending on the size of the calendar you are using you need to cut all your papers accordingly . I my case I trimmed my calendar to 5″ x 7″ and planned all my layers around that measurement. Since I was hanging my calendar pages on a hanger, I wasn’t constricted to a frame size.
I stamped the house and snowflakes in VersaMark, covered them with white embossing powder and heated them.
Then I tore the strip of Whisper White to resemble a snow covered hill.
I adhered the Whisper White to the Baja Breeze.
Using the Two Way Glue I dabbed streaks on the hill and sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds.
After stamping the skaters on a scrap piece of Whisper White I cut them out and I placed them on the hill using Dimensionals.
I then stamped the deer directly onto the hill.
I Photo cut two corners out of Baja Breeze and assembled the calendar as shown.
