This is an over view of what we made at Friday’s class.
Undoubted one can find inspiration anywhere, as I have on a kettle-corn bag. I absolutely love these colors together. I usually steer away from black so, these cards were a bit out of my comfort zone. A good thing. These are the cards I was inspired to make.
This card was made from one of my all time favorite colors, Baja Breeze which was retired and now it is going to be returned as a subtle collection color in the new catalog. Oh JOY!!!! I stamped the Solid Stripes in Baja Breeze and the greeting and cake images from the Happy Moments Stamp Set from Sale-A-Bration, in Basic Black Ink. I colored everything using Stampin’ Up Markers. Along the edges of the greeting and the cake Scallop Circle I dabbed on Pixie Pink Ink with a Dauber. On the cake and the cake pedestal I used Platinum Shimmer Paint for a little glitz.
This next card was made using the same color combination. On the Baja Breeze Card Stock I used my Big Shot and the Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder. I cut two of the Little Leaves Sizzlit out of Basic Black Card Stock. On Very Vanilla Card Stock I stamped in Basic Black Ink the bird cage image from the Happy Moments Stamp Set and the greeting from the Well Scripted Stamp Set. I punched the greeting using the Wide Oval Punch and hand cut the bird cage, I layered the card as shown and attached the bird cage with a piece of Black Gingham Ribbon.
Thanks for stopping by!
