Here’s one I made for my husband John. I know it’s a little flowery, but he loved it! This card can be made and used for any occasion. Change up the colors, Designer Series Paper and greeting to whatever kind of card you may need.
This card is great for strips of paper you might be saving. Well never mind might be saving, change that to the strips of paper you are saving and stashing!
Card base: Cut a piece of Pistachio Pudding Card Stock to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and score it at 4-1/4″.
Card Base Layer: Cut a 3-3/4″ x 5” piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock.
For Strips: Cut one 2-1/4″ x 1-1/2″ and one 4-1/4″ x 1-1/2″ strip of Mossy Meadow Card Stock.
For Strip Layer: Cut one 2-1/4″ x 1-1/4″ and one 4-1/4″ x 1-1/4″ strips of the All Abloom DSP or use what strips you have on hand as long as the length is good. Just add a 1/4″ to width to the card stock in which the DSP will be layered on. Layer the strips as shown and adhere them to the card.
Greeting: Determine where your greeting will go. I stamped, “I love you” from the Good Greetings Stamp Set in Mossy Meadow. I stamped it in the upper left corner of the card after much debate with myself over whether or not it should go on the top or on the bottom of the card. I ultimately decided on the top, because I like the way the blank area of Very Vanilla looked. I fussy cut a leaf from the All Abloom DSP and placed it so it looks like part of the greeting.
Scallop Circle Embellishment: Punch a 1-3/4″ Scallop Circle out of Mossy Meadow, a 1-3/4” Circle from Pistachio Pudding and a 1″ Circle from the DSP. Layer and adhere them together. Attach to the card with a Dimensional.
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time, make it a great day!
