Top O' The Morning to You!
Today's blog post is a fun project to make with all the children you know. In fact, I'm categorized it, "Just for Kids" but, anyone will enjoy making these Shamrock Wands from the Stampin' Up! Hearts A Flutter Die.
Now, making shamrock's out of hearts is nothing new, but his project has a little twist to it, in that the shamrocks are made up of two different designer series paper and two different sized hearts.
Here's how it's done:
First, you need to cut six large hearts and six small hearts using the Stampin' Up! Hearts A Flutter and the BIG Shot. You need to cut three of each size in one designer series paper and three in the other. Then you need to cut three large hearts and three small in half, reversing sides cut for the large and small hearts. The photo shows enough parts for two wands. Once, everything is cut adhere each half to the whole heart. Then adhere each small heart to the center of each large heart.
For the wand handle, I simply wrapped some Gumball Green Satin Stitched Ribbon around a paper straw. To finish the wand off I adhered the three hearts to the straw with Glue Dots, tied a bow using four strands of the Lucky Limeade Bakers Twine and added Basic Rhinestones. These can be decorated with glitter and buttons as well. If you find the wand a bit flimsy, cut three more large hearts from some Gumball Green Card Stock and with Multi Purpose Glue adhere them to the back of the shamrock.
Little Irish Tid Bit:
What does the Leprechaun say as a sales pitch for Lucky Charms Cereal???
Hearts, stars, horseshoes, clovers, and blue moons. Pots of gold and rainbows, and a red balloon.
"They're magically delicious!"
