This is one of the cards we made at the “Valentine’s Day” Class on Friday.
For this card I decided to do a long card so I cut a piece of Whisper White Card Stock ( 9-1/8″ x & 3-3/4″). I know the size might seem weird but, I had long envelopes and wanted to use some of them. I then cut pieces of Crushed Curry Card Stock (8-7/8″ x 3-1/2″), Bermuda Bay Card Stock (8-3/8″ x 3-1/4″) and Melon Mambo (8-3/8″ x 3″). On a piece of Whisper White Card Stock I stamped the heart from the Sweetheart Stamp Set with Melon Mambo Ink. With the Large Heart Punch I punched out the center of the stamped heart, placed a Heart Treat Cup in the middle, filled it with sweetheart candies and adhered another piece of Whisper White Card Stock to the back. I then trimmed around the heart using the Heart Treat Cup as a guide.
I stamped the stem and leaves and bird from the Sweetheart Stamp Set in Bermuda Bay Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock and cut them out.
For the bird to carry I made a teeny envelope.
Then I layered the Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo Card Stocks and wrapped two corners with Crushed Curry Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon. I put the rest of card together as shown above.
Here’s how I made the teeny envelope:
I first cut a piece of Whisper White Card Stock (1″ x 3/4″)
I scored 3/4″ down from the 3/4″ edge.
From the top center to the score line I cut on a diagonal to resemble an envelope flap.
I folded down the flap to form the teeny envelope.
Thanks for looking!
