Crazy About You Rainbow Flower Card

Today’s share is a card from my Sunday’s Workshop. We had so much fun making all the projects, plus we all celebrated St. Paddy’s Day with a great Irish feast. It was nice seeing so many attend this workshop. It truly was, “Magically Delicious!”

This card has a rainbow theme to it. I tried to incorporate a different flare to the Crazy About You stamp set by stamping the flowers and stems in rainbow colors.

Let’s get started on how to make this card!

First you need to cut a 7″ x 10″ card base from Blackberry Bliss and score it at 5″. Blackberry Bliss is a dark, rich color that can work well as a neutral; believe it or not!

Next, cut a 6-1/2″ x 4-1/2″ piece of Whisper White card stock.

On the Whisper White stamp the stem and leaves in Real Red (left), then Daffodil Delight (center) and Marina Mist (right).

On a separate piece of Whisper White, stamp the flower in Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Marina Mist. Punch out the flowers with the Medallion Flower Punch and set them aside.

On another piece of Whisper White stamp the flower in Tangelo Twist, Wild Wasabi and Wisteria Wonder. Punch out the flowers and cut them in half.

Take the cut half flowers and adhere them as follows; the Tangelo Twist half onto the Real Red flower, the Wild Wasabi half onto the Daffodil Delight and the Wisteria Wonder half onto the Marina Mist flower.

Stamp the stem and leaves in Tangelo Twist, Wild Wasabi and Wisteria Wonder. Cut out 2-3 leaves from the stamped stems and lay aside.

Next take the leaves you cut from the stems and glue them onto the stems you stamped on the Whisper White base as follows; the Tangelo Twist cut leaves onto Real Red, the Wild Wasabi cut leaves onto the Daffodil Delight stem and the Wisteria Wonder cut leaves onto the Marina Mist.

On a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock stamp the sentiment, “Celebrating You” in Blackberry Bliss and punch it out with the Decorative Label Punch. Along the edges with a Sponge Dauber, sponge on some Blackberry Bliss.

With SNAIL affix the Whisper White card base onto the Blackberry Bliss card.

Then affix the flowers with Dimensionals and adhere the sentiment and two cut half flowers on the bottom edge of the Whisper White layer. Done. Done. Done!
