This is the project we made at my, “Open House” on Friday. I used five of the new In-Colors to create a topiary, flower pot and a bird. I had these frames from some discount store and decided to create the project to fit the frame. Originally I wanted to paint the frames white but, after seeing the finished piece in the dark frame I thought it looked good. The frame works well with the Rich Razzleberry Card Stock and the gold frame detail ties in with the Crushed Curry Card Stock. I made a template for the flower pot and you can print it out in whatever size you might need.
This is the flower pot template:
And here are the pieces cut out of Melon Mambo Card Stock and Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper:
I did use the Scallop Edge Punch on one edge of the trim.
This is an enlargement of the flower pot. I adhered the Razzleberry Designer Series Paper onto Melon Mambo because there wasn’t enough contrast when I held it over the Whisper White background.
The rest of this framed topiary was layered with, Whisper White, Melon Mambo, and Crushed Curry Card Stock, A piece of Rich Razzleberry Ribbon was used as a base for the topiary. The frame itself measured 7″ x 14″. The leaves were cut using The Big Shot “Little Leaves” Sizzlet Die. The bird image from, Cheep Talk, was stamped in Bermuda Bay.
Thanks for lookin’!
