With All My Heart: Paper Pumpkins Heart Banner

Paper Pumpkins Banner Header

Paper Pumpkins Heart Banner you ask????

YES. I just got around to playing with the Paper Pumpkins January Kit and I have to tell you I loved it. Well, I love receiving the Paper Pumpkins kit in the mail every month, but this month’s stole my heart! (LOL) Each kit comes with plenty of everything and more. Okay, lets get back on topic. January’s Paper Pumpkin kit came with enough material to make 24 Valentine’s Day treat bags. In the kit were clips, 2 sheets of hearts, a Real Red Stampin’ Spot, Filled With Love photopolymer exclusive stamp set, 24 cellophane bags, thick pink & gold baker’s twine, 6 sheets of tags and glue dots. Instead of making the treat bags, oh by the way I have enough supplies to still make 21 of them, I made this banner.

The Paper Pumpkins Kits usually come with some kind of scrap packing cardboard. This is the cardboard I used to cut four pennants. I first made a template, traced around it and cut out the banner pieces.

I originally wanted to make the banner out of Coastal Cabana, Real Red and Whisper White, until My husband said, “Coastal Cabana doesn’t look like Valentine’s Day!” So, I switched out the colors and used Pink Pirouette instead. I was debating about it anyway and was totally impressed John knew what Coastal Cabana was!

Once the cardboard pennant pieces were cut, I covered them with Real Red, Pink Pirouette and Whisper White Card Stock. I used Sticky Strip to adhere them. I had four pennant pieces and three colored card stock, so I made two in the Real Red.

I used various Designer Series Papers from the Stacked With Love and Fresh Prints. From these papers I cut four hearts with the BIG Shot and the Hearts Collection Framelits. Using the next largest heart from the die collection I cut two hearts from Real Red Card Stock, one from the Pink Pirouette and one from the Whisper White. I played around sizing and matching until I liked what I paired up together.

I then cut the perfect little bows using the Bow Builder Punch, which I adore! I think it’s one of the best products Stampin Up!’s ever came out with.

Paper Pumpkins Folded Banners

The Paper Pumpkins kit came with these pre-printed, pre-cut small pennants. I used these to attach my card board banners once they were decorated. I simply folded them as shown and held them together with a Glue Dot. The Glue Dot needs to be towards the bottom, because these are what you’re passing the bakers twine through.

So much came in this Paper Pumpkin’s Kit including these tags. There were 6 sheets and three different designs. I  stamped the heart (included) in Real Red Ink (included)  with the “Be My Valentine” from the Filled With Love Set (included).  I then adhered the heart and two pennants to the tag with a Glue Dot (included) and placed these in between the larger pennants. I used the gold clips (included) to hang and hold these on the baker’s twine (included).

Everything was strung on the pink and gold bakers twine (included).  And. when the banner was finished, it got a wall to itself to show off!
