Above is the February Calendar. Click on the image to see an enlarged version.

Stamp Set:          Love You Much

Inks:                    Riding Hood Red

      Versa Mark

Paper:                  Whisper White ( 8-1/2″ x 8-1/2″) not needed if using the back of January and (7″ x 2-1/4″)

                               Riding Hod Red ( 8″ x 8″)

                               Candy Lane DSP (7″ x 1/2″)

Pink Pirouette scrap for corner punch

Accessories:       Riding Hood Red Striped Ribbon, White Embossing Powder, Scallop Circle Punch, Photo Corner Punch, Hear to Heart Punch, Heat Tool

First, I stamped two of the bird images in riding Hood Red; one to the right and the other to the left. I then stamped the scallop image in Versa Mark, covered the image with White Embossing Powder,  heated the image and cut it out with the Scallop Circle Punch. I punched out two sets of the Photo Corners in Pink Pirouette. Using the Heart to Heart Punch and Riding Hood Red card stock I punched the small heart out to place on February 14 on the calendar. I then put everything together as shown above.

January Calendar: Dreamy Skaters…

This is a class I offered in January and I’m just getting around to posting it. Back in January when all calendars were on sale, I purchased some with this stamping project in mind. I had the hangers and decided to use them on this continuing calendar class. Every month we make the nexy two month’s calendars. Each calendar shares one sheet of card stock; one month appears on the front and another month appears on the back.  Here’s January’s calendar.

January 2009

Stamp Sets:           To You and Yours

Party Hearty (New Year’s Day Hat)

                                 Season of Friendship (Snowflake)

                                 Winter Post

Ink:                         Baja Breeze

                                 Chocolate Chip

                                 Versa Mark

Paper                      Whisper White (8-1/2″ x 8-1/2″) and  (7″ x 2-1/4″)

                                 Baja Breeze (7″ x 2-1/4″)

                                 Chocolate Chip (8″ x 8″)

Accessories:          White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Dazzling Diamonds, Photo Corner Punch

Depending on the size of the calendar you are using you need to cut all your papers accordingly . I my case I trimmed my calendar  to 5″ x 7″ and planned all my layers around that measurement. Since I was hanging my calendar pages on a hanger, I wasn’t constricted to a frame size.

I stamped the house and snowflakes in VersaMark, covered them with white embossing powder and heated them.

Then I tore the strip of Whisper White to resemble a snow covered hill.

I adhered the Whisper White to the Baja Breeze.

Using the Two Way Glue I dabbed streaks on the hill and sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds.

After stamping the skaters on a scrap piece of Whisper White I cut them out and I placed them on the hill using Dimensionals.

I then stamped the deer  directly onto the hill.

I Photo cut two corners out of Baja Breeze and assembled the calendar as shown.

Masculine: Pencil Cup Holder

While this is nothing new it is a simple and fast project to do for Father’s day or teacher gifts. Switch it up for a female. I purchased wooden pencil cup from Michael’s, but empty vegetable  cans can also be used. I used a tape measure and measured around the cup holder and added a 1/4″ for an overlay. The height I added nothing. I simply measured it.

Happiness is a Journey Pencil Cup

Stamp Set:          Happiness is a Journey

Ink:                      VersaMark

Paper:                  Any DSP of choice cut  to the measurements of the holder

Coordinating Card Stock (I used Winter Green DSP & Chocolate Chip CS)

Accessories:       White  Embossing Powder, Brads, Ribbon and any other embellishments you want

1. Measure the height and the circumference of holder. Add 1/4″ to the circumference measurement for an overlay.

2. Cut DSP and using sticky strip  tape cover holder.

3. On a piece of  coordinating card stock  stamp image in versa mark.

4. Cover image with white embossing powder.

5. Use  a heat tool and hold it 4-5 inches away, heat the image until the powder turns shiny and rises.

6. Carefully tear around image for a really nice irregular look.

7. Add brads to each corner and adhere to cup with sticky strip  tape.

8. Embellish top and bottom of holder with ribbon.
