Hello, Stampers and Paper-Artists,
In my neck of the woods more snow is predicted and while I know it won’t last, just the thought of snow makes me cringe. Thank goodness, I’m busy working on my April Class, “Everything Springtime” which is lifting my spirits.
Today’s card was another that we made at my Stamp-A-Stack Saturday. I love pink and brown, and, pink and black together. I tried a little different card type and I’m pleased with the marker results. I’m so very proud of the ladies who come to my classes and their coloring results as well. Nice job ladies!
To create this card:
Cut a 4-1/4″ x 9-3/4″ piece of Pink Pirouette Card Stock and score it at 5-1/2″”. This leaves you with a 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ square flap.
Place a 5″ X 5″ piece of Basic Black Card Stock in a Big Shot and with the Scallop Square Die cut out a square. In each scallop with a Paper Piercing Tool and Mat Pack pierce each scallop.
Place a 4″ x 4″ piece of First Edition Designer Series paper in the Big Shot and cut out a square using the Scallop Square Duo. On this square stamp, “Happy Birthday” from the Bring on the Cake Stamp Set in Basic Black Ink. Stamp it the bottom right hand corner so your flower will really be featured.
On a scrap piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock stamp the large blossom from the Bloomin’ Beautiful Stamp Set in Stazon Black Ink, hand color the flower with Water-Color Pencils or Markers and carefully cut it out. Adhere it to the First Edition Scallop Square.
Layer the First Edition on the Basic Black Scallop Square. Adhere the scallop square on the flap of Pink Pirouette. Once it’s adhered place a Basic Pearl in each corner.
Along the bottom edge of the card, with a Slotted Ribbon Punch (retired), punch slots along the edge. Weave Black Gingham Ribbon (retired) through the slots and tie a bow in the middle.
Round off each bottom corner with a Corner Round Punch.
