Big Shot: Flower Daisies Die

Back before Easter, I ran across these Daisies made using Stampin’ Up! Big Shot Flower Daisies Die, now retired 🙁  I had all the card stock cut for a workshop that never took place, because of the house fire. On Sunday I pulled out the flowers and we made these fun daisies.

For the daisy flowers you can use any color combinations. I used So Saffron, Perfect Plum, Pool Party, Very Vanilla, Garden Green and Island Indigo.

Big Shot Flower Paper DaisiesFor each daisy you need to cut two of all three sizes on the Big Shot Flower Daisies Die. For the smallest daisy I mixed two different colors. Adhere the same size flower to the other. Line them up, so the flower petals are in between the other. Punch out a 1″ Circle and adhere it to the back of the largest flower pair. I used Garden Green Card Stock for this. On the top of the smallest daisy adhere a 1/2″ Circle. Put all three flower sizes together with Dimensionals.

Take a wooden skewer and a Garden Green Marker. With the brush end of the marker color the skewer.  Rip some thin long leaves out of Garden Green Card Stock. Adhere them with a Glue Dot. Trim down the skewer, so all the daisies are different heights for visual appeal.

To assemble the flower, poke the wooden skewer from the back through the Dimensionals. Add a bit of Tombow Multi Purpose Glue to secure.

For the flower center punch out a 3/4″ Circle and adhere it with another Dimensional. Arrange all the petals either up or down for a natural look.

Try making these for center-pieces or leave the stems off and use the daisies to embellish your cards, boxes, scrap book pages or frames. These would make a great summer party favor. Just sayin’…

As ever, Stampin’ Hugs and thanks for stopping by!
