August Calendar: Just Beachy…

DSC_0448

I absolutely love the way the calendar for August came out. The class had fun encorporating all the elements to create this beach scene, The beach is close to my heart because for the last twenty-five years we have been going to Sunset Beach, NC. Many memories have been made down there and this year we are going in September. I can’t wait!

Here is a Close Up for you to refer to:

DSC_0448

I started by tearing the two strips of Creamy Caramel Card Stock strips to resemble sand. Then I dragged to torn edges through a Chocolate Chip Ink Pad and adhered the strips to the  (7″ x 2-1/4″) piece of Bashful Blue Card Stock. i also tore the strip of Pacific Point Card Stock to look like ocean waves and adhered the ocean strip to the bottom of the bottom of the Bashful Blue over the Creamy Caramel “Sand Like” strips.  Using Versa Mark I stamped the fish from the Just Beachy stamp set onto the Pacific Point, covered the stamped images with White Embossing Powder and heated them with a Heat Tool. I stamped images from the Pocket Silhouettes, Just Beachy and Life’s a Breeze stampe sets, colored them in with the Write Markers and cut them out. Before placing the images on the Bashful Blue Strip I colored in the sky to resemble a sunset with Stampin’ Pastels. To the woody car I added two silver brads to the wheels and used Dimensionals to adhere and pop the car.

Thanks for stopping by and may you have beautiful sunsets…

Hugs,

Siggy-2
