I can’t seem to get enough of wooden items to decorate! I found this wooden cross at AC Moore. I originally wanted to make this at my Easter/ Springtime Workshop, but sadly I had to cancel that workshop. 🙁 I had the sample made and decided to share it with all of you.
As I mentioned this project started with a blank, wooden cross. Again this wooden cross was found at AC Moore for under a dollar with a coupon. I painted the edge and back of the cross with White Acrylic Paint. Once the paint was dried I placed Designer Series Paper on the inside of the cross. I wanted a color that would show off the striking flower bouquet on the front.
I cut a 1-1/4″ x 8″ strip of Whisper White Card Stock laid it across the front of the cross and stapled it on the back. I used this strip as a base to adhere my flowers onto. For the flower bouquet I used three different stamp sets; Flower Shop (130939), Petite Petals (133157) and Blessed Easter (133212). I hand colored all the flowers using my inktense colored pencils. The tulips I hand cut out and the Petite Petals and Flower Shop I used the matching punches which came as a bundle with each stamp set.
I stamped a Blessed Easter message in Basic Black Ink on A piece of Designer Series Paper and punched it out with the Large Oval Punch.
I hope this gives you some ideas on what to do with what your local craft store carries while still incorporating, what I think are some of the best products in the crafting market and they’re all from Stampin’ Up!
Have a Blessed and meaningful Easter,
