Open Heart: Thank You Cards

An Open Heart Header

Welcome back friends!

Today’s share are two thank you cards from An Open Heart stamp set. I’ve been experimenting with two rounded corners on my cards.  I like the way it adds a little movement to the card edges. It looks as though the card corners not rounded, are almost curved up like a teardrop.

SUPPLIES, TOOLS and TIPS:

STAMP SET: The An Open Heart stamp set is  filled with heartfelt  sentiments, including “Thank You.” The elements and images of this stamp set can be used combined or alone and each can hold it’s own.  This set has two line-drawn images. The branch with leaves and berries can be used for a sympathy, holiday or in this case, for a thank you card. The whimsical bird image would be great to use even on a summertime beach card. Think of all the colors he can be! An Open Heart stamp set is gorgeous, timeless as well as versatile!

CARD STOCK: I wanted a “note-card” appearance for both these cards. So, the Whisper White card bases were cut at 3-1/2″ x 10″ and scored at 5″  The first layers of Blackberry Bliss were cut at 3-1/4″ x 4-3/4″ and the top layers of Whisper White were cut at 3″ x 4-1/2″.

SOME TIPS: These cards are simply stamped in Wild Wasabi and Blackberry Bliss, the branch image would look great embossed in white on a dark card stock. If you have a VersaMark Marker, color in the berries with it and emboss the berries in whatever Embossing Powder colors you have.

TOOLS: The Corner Punch was used to round the corners and a Sponge Dauber was used to distress the card. Wild Wasabi, Blackberry Bliss, Soft Suede and Daffodil Delight Inks were used. Everything was adhered and layered with SNAIL Adhesive.

Embrace the day!
