Here is another card we made at my Friday’s class similar to a swap card I received. This one can be made from all of those small scraps of designer series paper you have. You know we all have lots and lots of scraps in a box and this is the “Perfect Project” to make with them. This was a fun card to put together.
I first cut a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Pretty-in-Pink Card Stock and scored it at 4 1/4″.
I then cut a 5″ x 3-3/4″ piece of Wild Wasabi Card Stock (available July 1) and a 4-3/4″ x 3-1/2″ piece of So Saffron Card Stock for the layers.
For the birdhouse I cut a 3″ x 1-3/4″ piece of Bella Bleu Designer Series Paper for the roof and a 2-1/2″ x 3″ piece of Tea Party Designer Series Paper for the bottom. Along one long edge of the roof piece I scalloped it with the Scallop Edge Punch.
Out of s scrap piece of Regal Rose Card Stock I used my Big Shot and the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit to cut the embossed heart as the birdhouse opening.
The bird was cut out of piece of Bella Bleu Designer Series Paper with the Two Step Bird Punch.
I stamped the “Wish Big” from the Short and Sweet Stamp Set in Garden Green Ink onto Very Vanilla Card Stock and punched it out with the Large Oval Punch. I then layered it onto a piece of Garden Green cut out of the Scallop Punch.
I layered the card as shown and adhered a Sweet Pea Felt Flower on the roof.
