Fabulous Florets Any Occasion Card…

Today’s featured card is another card we made at my World Card Making Day Event. We actually made two cards using the Fabulous Florets stamp set and the other version will be featured tomorrow. I chose to do two cards from the same stamp set to show all of you that with one stamp set you can create many different cards. If you wanted to do a box set of cards, you can simply change the color on each card and you’ll wind up with a great box of cards.

Fabuloous Florets Melon Mambo

Cut the following card stock:

Melon Mambo      5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ score at 4-1/4″

Whisper White     5″ x 3-3/4″

4-1/4″ x 3″

Wild Wasabi         4-1/2″ x 3-1/4″

With Melon Mambo Ink stamp the open flower from the Fabulous Florets stamp set on the 4-1/4″ x 3″ piece of Whisper White card stock. Stamp the flower randomly over-lapping the images slightly.  Once done, the card stock should resemble designer series paper.

Fabulous Florets Melon Mambo Detail

Over the stamped images stamp the leaves, twice, in VersaMark Ink, sprinkle with Wild Wasabi Embossing Powder and heat with a Heat Tool.

On a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock stamp the solid flower in VersaMark, sprinkle with Melon Mambo Embossing Powder and heat it with a Heat Tool. Carefully cut out each flower.

Assemble the card by adhering the large Whisper White piece on the Melon Mambo base and the stamped Whisper White piece on the Wild Wasabi piece.  When adhering the Wild Wasabi layer askew it and place it on at an angle.

Attach the Embossed Melon Mambo flowers with dimensionals.

Add a Wild Wasabi bow, that will lay flat, by making the bow the following way:

1.    Start by tying a simple knot crossing the left side over the right.

2.    Using the ribbon in your right hand, form a loop; hold the base between your thumb and middle finger

3.    Next, take the length on the left and bring it around the back of the loop in your right hand and around to the front.

4.    Push that piece of ribbon, with your left hand, feeding a loop through the hole.

5.    Grab the “new” loop with your right hand and grab the first loop with your left hand and pull in opposite directions. You can adjust the bow by pulling on the loops or the tails.
Attach your perfect bow with a Glue Dot.
