Leaves of a Tree: Anniversary Card…

Saturday was my niece Laura & Chris' First Wedding Anniversary. Last year I made their Wedding Invitation which you can SEE HERE. Since they were married in the Autumn and their wedding card had Autumn leaves on it I decided to use the Stampin' Up! Leaves of a Tree. Perfect for a first Autumn Wedding Anniversary!

Leaves of a Tree Anniversary Card

I started this card with a base of Bravo Burgundy (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" scored at 4-1/2") card stock and layered it with Very Vanilla (5" x 3-3/4"), Tangerine Tango (4-1/2" x 3-1/4"), Bravo Burgundy (3-1/4" x 3-1/4") and Very Vanilla (3" x 3")

Leaves of a Tree Detail

On the 3" x 3" piece of Very Vanilla I stamped  the Leaves of a Tree image by using the Huffing Technique for inking up my stamp.

The Huffing Technique is used when you want to ink your stamp up with several colors using Markers. Once the stamp is inked you then Huff on it. What it means is you breathe on a stamp to re-wet the ink with your breath. It's the same theory when you fog up a window or mirror, so you can write your name on it with your finger. This works well when using non-permanent markers, such as Stampin' Up!'s water based markers.

I embossed the Tangerine Tango with the Houndstooth Embossing Folder and the Big Shot.

I made a four loop bow. You make a regular bow only don't stop at two loops, you stop at four. For the middle of the bow I wrapped and knotted another piece of ribbon, made the tails smaller and let them peek out as well.
