Jar of Cheer : Christmas Candle

jar-of-cheer-detail

Mason jars and jars in general are such a big trend right now. They’re inexpensive and can be used for so many things. Once only used for homemade jams and granola’s or such.  They’re now filled with ingredients to make cookies or breads, to hold small gifts, filled with miniatures to resemble snow globes and the list goes on and on. The Jar of Cheer on this card was stamped with a candle, making this mason jar a candle holder!

This card may sound complicated to cut and layer together, but if you make all the cuts and think about how they have to be adhered together you’ll have no problem. It’s quite a beautiful card and you should save the cutting dimensions to use in the future with other holiday or birthday cards.

Take the checkered 2-2/34″ x 3/4″ pieced of DSP and adhere ot across the bottom of the front flap. It should go across the bottom to resemble a tablecloth.

Adhere your stamped jar a to the front flap on the Whisper White over the checkered tablecloth.

Adhere the stamped and cut out candle to the inside of the jar.

Color a few Basic Rhinestones with a red Sharpie Marker and place them on the candle bottom as berries.

This card layout can be used in so many ways for many, many occasions. The colors and stamp sets can be switched out. I would recommend you write these directions and dimensions down for future use.
