Hey, Chick: Birthday Card

I certainly hope you earned this, “Hey, Chick” Stampin’ Up! stamp set during Sale-A-Bration.  My daughter and son-in-law have six chicks, which are growing in leaps and bounds, so this stamp set is close to my heart. And, believe me my daughter’s chicks are as comical as the images in this stamp set!

CUTTING:

A 7″ x 10″ Card Base was cut from Delightful Dijon, soon to be retired, and scored at 5″.

From Whisper White the following sizes were cut: 4-1/2″ x 6-1/2″,  4″ x 6″ and 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″

Out of Real Red cardstock cut 4-1/4″ x 6-1/4″ and 3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″.

STAMPING:

Ink up the Hexagon Dynamic Embossing Folder with Basic Black Ink and lay the 4″ x 6″ piece of Whisper White in folder and run it through the BIG Shot.

On the 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ piece of Whisper White stamp the chicken, egg and sentiment, “have a happy day!” in Basic Black Ink.

Color in the chick and egg.

PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER:

Adhere and layer everything as shown, wrapping a piece of Baker’s Twine around all of the layers.

Happy to see you. Check back often for more paper crafting projects.

Hugs,
