Hello Blossoms: Birthday Card For Laura

Stampin' Up! hand made female birthday card

Today is my niece Laura’s birthday. Laura is my cousin Lisa’s daughter and in my heart Lisa is like a sister to me and Laura like a niece.  I wanted to share the birthday card I made for her.

Stampin' Up! Hello Blossoms Birthday Card

This birthday card is pretty straight forward. I used the Stampin’ Up! retired stamp set Hello Blossoms. This is a take on an older card I made. I used Peach Parfait,  Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz Ink and card stock. Green brads and a Bow made from Baker’s Twine finishes this birthday card off. Laura LOVES frogs hence the Lucky Limeade.

Directions to make this card:

Pear Pizzazz Card Stock         5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″  and score it at 4-1/4″

Whisper White Card Stock    5″ x 3-3/4″ and  4-1/4″ x 3″

Blushing Bride Card Stock    4-3/4″ x 3-1/2″

I took my Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride and Wild Wasabi Markers and inked up the  Hello Blossoms Stamp and stamped it on the smaller Whisper White piece of Card Stock.  I didn’t quite center it. I stamped it a bit to the right, so I had some balance in the design when I put the bow on. I also didn’t want a solid inked image, so I went light with the markers.

I then inked up the Happy Birthday from the Bring on the Cake Stamp  in Pear Pizzazz and stamped it under the Hello Blossoms. I lined it up to the left to have room for the one blossom I wanted to stamp at the end of the happy birthday.

I added some Green Galore Brads (retired) to each flower center.

Happy Birthday Laura!

Check back tomorrow for another button project.  Oh, joy!
