As sad as it is to see these products go, there’s still time for you  to get them before they’re gone. Plus, retiring products have discounts of up to 50%! Thinking of Becoming A Demonstrator????

Stampinup_logo Many of you are thinking about becoming a demonstrator but, frequently have a lot of questions about it. I decided to post another questions and answers in hopes that it may help you overcome your fears. I love being a demonstrator because I can work from home, make my own business hours and get paid for doing something I love.

 

FAQs about Being a Demonstrator

 

1. What are the minimum sales requirements?

You only need to submit $300 in sales per quarter. That is less than an average Stampin’ Up!® workshop! Also, you can submit your sales in any increment you wish and still receive your 20 percent discount and commission.

 

2. What if I want to do this as a hobby and not necessarily a business?

Stampin’ Up! supports all demonstrators, no matter their goals or the level at which they choose to run their business. If you choose not to hold workshops, you can simply place your own orders and/or collect orders from family and friends to equal the $300 quarterly sales minimum.

 

3. Can I be my own hostess?

Yes, you can be your own hostess anytime you want. Invite your family and friends into your home and have a workshop. You will be the hostess, receiving the hostess benefits, as well as the demonstrator, receiving your instant income and commission.

 

4. How much does it cost to get started as a demonstrator?

Starter Kits are only $175, and they include everything you will need to get your business up and running, including stamp sets, ink, paper, catalogs, order forms, a training video, and more (at least a $310 value). Stampin' Up! now offers two different Starter Kits with a selection of products, as well as two optional add-ons to help you customize your kit.

 

5. How can I make money as a demonstrator?

You can earn money in three ways:

instant income (20 percent of each order)

Monthly volume rebates (5–20 percent of total sales), and

Monthly downline override commissions (2–6 percent of your recruits’ sales).

 

6. Do I have to recruit other demonstrators?

No. If you were to recruit demonstrators, you would be paid override commissions on your downline’s sales, but this is a perk, not a requirement.

 

7. Where will I get project ideas for my workshops? What kind of training can I expect?

Stampin’ Up! provides dozens of training resources filled with project ideas and tips to help you run every aspect of your business, including a monthly publication called Stampin’ Success, Demonstrator Support agents, a demonstrator only web site, hundreds of samples, annual and seasonal catalogs, a training DVD, the Demonstrator Manual, and a Product Guide.

 

8. Is Stampin’ Up! a well-known, respected company?

Since 1988, Stampin’ Up! has been selling rubber stamps and paper-crafting supplies. In that time, and has won industry awards and accolades, but also the loyalty and admiration of demonstrators and customers alike. And that is a trend that we work hard to maintain. You can rest assured that the reputation of Stampin’ Up! will only continue to improve!

 

9. What if I decide that I don’t like it once I’ve started? Will I be penalized if I quit?

You may choose to stop at anytime, and you will not be penalized. You simply stop placing orders. However, there are many benefits to remaining an active demonstrator.

Q: How much does it cost to get started as a Demonstrator?

 

A: The Standard Starter Kit is only $175 plus tax. It includes everything you will need to get your business up and running, including stamp sets, ink, paper, catalogs, order forms, training video, etc. ($310 value) Plus you can customize your kit to include the stamp sets and ink colors you want. We also have a Digital Starter kit for those who want to get started with My Digital Studio.

Q: What if I decide that I don’t like it once I’ve started. Will I be penalized if I quit or is there a certain time frame I have to be a demonstrator?

A: You can stop anytime you choose. You simply just stop putting in your minimum sales.

 

Q: What kind of incentives can I earn as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator?

A: Stampin’ Up! offers so many benefits and incentives to demonstrators… here are a few:

• In your first 6 months you have the opportunity to earn FREE sets from the current catalog through a program called Stampin’ Start.

You receive 30% off on your first order of $150 or more if you place it within 45 days after signing up.

 

Q: Do I have to recruit other demonstrators?

A: Of course not!! But if someone you meet wants to become a demonstrator I’ll be there to help you every step of the way or you can pass their name on to me.

 

Q: How much support can I expect from my Upline?

A: You’ll receive monthly group newsletters and New Demonstrator Training sessions are offered frequently at my house or over the phone for long distant Demonstrators. There are semi-annual team events where we all share ideas, learn new stamping techniques, and just enjoy each other’s company. Plus other team events throughout the year.

 

Q: Where will I get my ideas for my workshops?

A: Stampin’ Up! has many resources for demonstrators. The Catalog, the SU! website, the monthly Stampin’ Success magazine, training videos & much more. As a member of my stamping team you’ll have access to 2 exclusive team websites where you’ll find my pattern and template libraries.

It is OKAY to copy your projects from these sources and use them at your workshops. You do not have to think of everything by yourself. I wouldn’t be where I am today if I had not borrowed and shared ideas from lots of different resources!

 

Q: Are there any Stampin’ Up! Events that I can attend as a new demonstrator?

A: Yes, almost all of them!! Every year Stampin’ Up! has it’s annual convention. It is held in Salt Lake City, UT and is 4 days long. This is the absolute best event ever!! Can you imagine 5,000 crazy stampers getting together to share ideas & stamp? It’s wild and so worth it!! There are also Regional Seminars throughout the U.S. that are announced every year at convention.

 

Q: Do you really love what you do?

A: I absolutely LOVE what I do and I know you will, too. I also love Stampin’ Up! because of all the friendships I have made.
