We Three Kings…

Another So Simple project from my Ornament Card-Making Workshop. This project is also made from chip board cut in the shape of an ornament. These  are great "Just for Kids"  projects. In the center any image can be used and the ornament can be decorated with paper, markers, stamps, ribbons, glitter and or buttons. Grab your self a Sponge Dauber and go crazy coloring them using the Stampin' Up Inks.DSC_0145

Halloween Handouts…

This pencil box template is not mine but the design is. the template and measurement handout will be available at my next workshop on Friday, October 23. These can also be filled with Pixie Stixs.

Below are crayon boxes I design by  reconfiguring the measurements of the pencil box to fit crayons. These would make really great favors, Halloween hand outs, birthday, Valentine’s Day or Easter gifts.

For those little four crayon boxes the measurements are as follows:

Cut a 2-1/4″ x 6″ piece of Card Stock. You get ten of these per 12″ x 12″ sheet of car d stock.

Score at  3/8″ up the long sides.

Score up the 2-1/4″ side at 1-1/2″, 1-7/8″ and 3-3/4″.

I didn’t make a sample of this box.

Here is a picture and directions for an six crayon box:

DSC_0055 I cut a 3″ x 6″ piece  of Melon Mambo Card Stock. If you use a 12″ x 12″ piece you will get 8 per sheet.

I then scored up the long sides at 3/8″ and along the 3″ side at 1-/1/2″, 1-7/8″ and 3-3/4″.

I stamped in Melon Mambo Ink the little quail/bird from  the Happy Together Stamp Set on Whisper white Card Stock

Using my 1″ Circle Punch I punched out the bird image. I punched other circles using the 1-1/4″ Circle Punch  on Melon Mambo Card Stock and 1-3/8″ Circle Punch on Whisper White Card Stock. On Bermuda Bay Card Stock I punched a  Scallop Circle.

I layered all the punched circles onto the scallop circle. I finished by wrapping a piece of  Bermuda Bay Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon and adhering the layered scallop circle on top of the ribbon.

Here is a picture and directions to the eight crayon box:

For this eight crayon box I cut a 3-1/2″ x 6″ piece of Pretty in Pink Card Stock

Again I scored up the 6″ sides at 3/8″ and along the 3-1/2″ side at 1-1/2″, 1-7/8″ and 3-3/4″.

I stamped birthday bliss in Basic Black Ink from the Birthday Bliss Stamp Set and punched it out with the Designer Label Punch. Behind it I punched out a Scallop Circle in Melon Mambo Card Stock. I wrapped a piece of Green Galore Card Stock around the bottom of the box and on top of that I wrapped a piece of Melon Mambo Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon. I adhered the birthday bliss greeting on the scalloped circle and placed a Green Galore Brad on the top.

Here are the crayon box templates. I’m sorry this is a little light but if you click on the image it will enlarge the template. I will hand out dark copies at my workshop. For those of you who do not live local and would like a copy just e-mailme.DSC_0071

Again thanks for stopping by and keep visiting as I have much to post.

HUGS & Stamps,

How Sweet It Is Bookmarks…

Here is the bookmarks I made for the Sweet Treat Cup Halloween card. I made lots for my daughter to pass out o Halloween. These are very easy and fast and any design, theme or holiday can be incorporated. I will be posting different ones soon. These make great party favors also.

Stamp Sets:  Halloween Hoot
Home is Where the Haunt Is (retired)
                        Little Boo

Paper:  Basic Black Card Stock ( 2″ x 4 1/4″)
Green Galore , Only Orange and Lavender Lace Card Stock  (1 1/2″ x 4″)

This is one bookmark I made specifically for the halloween Sweet Centers card. I stamped the “Little Boo” ghost, punched him out and adhered him so that after the candy was removed, he would show up in the middle of the Clear Sweet Centers Cup

For this book mark I used the Scallop Circle Punch and adhered Snail Adhesive to only the sides so a lollipop could be inserted. I made these for my daughter Meg to hand out where she works for trick-or-treaters. After the lollipop is long gone they still have the bookmark to use.

Look for more bookmark designs in the future.

Thanks for visiting..

HUGS & Stamps,

Marc’s 3rd Birthday….

Here is the card I made and  picnic table I painted  for my girlfriend Freddie’s son, MARC who turned three on August 2, bu,t whose birthday party was today. Marc had a Thomas the train theme party.

For the card I used the Stampin’ Up! Choo-Choo Stamp Set and the On Track Wheel. The photo doesn’t do the colors justice as the red appears pink which it is not! I used a 12′ x 3″ piece of Whisper White  Card Stock  and along the 12″ side I scored it at 4″ intervals. I stamped and cut out the train card as well as the numbers. The numbers are from the stamp set Big Deal Numbers (retired).

Below is the picnic table I painted. On the seats i again used the Choo-Choo Stamp Set with Basic Black Craft Ink because I wanted to put a clear coat over the table since it will probably be used outdoors.

Happy 3rd Marc and thanks for stopping by!

HUGS & Stamps,

Just for Kids Workshop on the Lake….

On Friday I had my first workshop with Stampin’ Up! for kids! Years ago I held workshops and kids camps in my shop, “Romancing the Home.”  It was a small and very special kind of two sided shop where I sold hand made items for the home on one side and  on the other side I gave adult and children workshops. We did everything from painting, sewing. knitting. to floral arrangements. You name it we did it and the children classes did it all too. While Stampin’ Up! is featuring more and more for kids including The Build-A-Bear Stamp Set and promoting kids workshops, I have wanted to do kids workshops again since I became a demonstrator 2 years ago.

Below are the three attendees and the projects we made. I gave my girlfriend Nancy the banner we made before I got to photograph it. I will borrow it and photograph it and post it at a later date so check back.

Here are Brittany and Samantha:

And here is Taylor…

Below are the decorated boxes we made. I bought the boxes at one of the local craft shops. I measured the sides and the top of the box and cut out Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper. I had the kids adhere the DSP to the box. Using the Wagon Full of Love Stamp Set and Basic Black Ink I had the girls stamp an image of their choice on a piece of 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ piece of Whisper White Card Stock. Then they layered Green Galore Card Stock and the Whisper White Card Stock as follows. Using the Photo Corner Punch and Green Galore Card Stock photo corners were punched and adhered to each corner.

Here is a close up of one of the boxes. On the flower we used Crystal Effects and sprinkled on Stampon’ Up! Green Beads in the center of the flower. On the cupcake box Samantha used the beads as sprinkles! Aren’t they cute?

Here is the picture frame we made using the Build-A-Bear Stamp Set, Basic Black Ink, Markers and scraps of Designer Series Paper for the grass and clouds. The frames I had around the house from the dollar store.

Thanks for lookin’!

HUGS & Stamps,

Pony Party for Samantha….

This is my niece Samantha who turned 9 on July 27th.

Below is the card I made for Sami using the Pony Party Stamp Set.

I cut Stampin’ Up’s new In-Color Bermuda Bay  Card Stock 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″. I then scored the 8 1/2″ side in half.  I cut the Melon Mambo Card Stock, another In-Color, to 4 1/2″ x 3 1/4″. On a 4″ x 2 3/4″ piece of Whisper White Card Stock I stamped the pony from the Pony Part Stamp Set in Basic Black Ink. I masked the pony by stamping another pony image on a plain white sheet of paper, cut it out and overlayed it over the pony on the Whisper White Card Stock. I then stamped the wings in Basic Black Ink and lifted the mask. Using my  Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils I colored in the pony and mane. I cut a 4″ x 2 3/4″  strip of Bermuda Bay Card Stock and scalloped along one the 4″ edge using the Scallop Edge Punch. I stamped “Celebrate” from the All Year Cheer I Stamp Set (retired) in Versa Mark, sprinkled White Embossing Powder over it and heated it using a Heat Gun. I put the card together by layering the Bermuda Bay scalloped strip to the top of the Whisper White Card Stock  and then the Whisper White onto the Melon Mambo piece of card stock. I wrapped a piece of Polka Melon Mambo Ribbon around the bottom then attached all to the Bermuda Bay. What girl, woman doesn’t like glitz? So, using my Two-Way Glue Stick and Dazzling Diamonds that’s exactly what I did-added glitz!

Thanks for stopping by.
