Welcome Back Lakeside Stampers,
This is the third card we made at the FAN-tastic Class. I originally wanted to use half of the beautiful motif from the Stampin’ Up! Day of Gratitude Stamp Set as a fan, but my idea didn’t work out. Instead I wound up making the following card. I have to say it’s not a bad second! This stamp st can be found in your new Holiday Mini Catalog. Don’t have a mini yet? Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to get one.
This card was made by cutting a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ of Concord Crush Card Stock scored at 4-1/4″, 5″ x 3-3/4″ piece of Cherry Cobbler, 4-1/4″ x 3-1/2″ Perfect Plum and 4-1/2″ x 3-1/4″ of Crumb Cake.
On another 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ piece of Crumb Cake I stamped the medallion motif from the Stampin’ Up! Day of Gratitude Stamp Set using my Old Olive, Concord Crush and Cherry Cobbler Write Markers. To do this technique you apply the marker directly on the stamp beginning with the lightest color first. After you are finished applying the color you give the stamp a few huffs to moistened the ink. Once the ink was dried I cut the medallion out.
On the 4-1/2″ x 3-1/4″ of Crumb Cake I sponged Cherry Cobbler Ink on the edge with my Sponge Dauber, stamped Happy Birthday from the Curly Cute Stamp Set in Concord Crush Ink and tied a piece of Concord Crush Poly Twill Ribbon around it. The class had the choice of which saying to stamp on their card from this versatile stamp set.
I layered everything as shown and placed Dimensionals on the back of the medallion motif to pop it. In the center I placed a Basic Pearl that was dyed with Cherry Cobbler Ink. To find ot how to dye pearls sign up for my newsletter where the information will be in the mid-month newsletter.
