Veterans Day is an annual United States holiday honoring military veterans. It is a federal holiday that is observed on November 11. It is also celebrated as Aristice Day or Remembrance Day in other parts of the world and falls on November 11, the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended World War 1. Major hostilities of World War I were formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918 with the German signing of the Armistice.

And…

11-11-11 only happens every 100 years!

Fun Fact of 111…

Here is a fun fact that is somewhat of an oddity!  If you add the last two digits of your birth year to the age that you will be this year you will come up with 111.  111 is very much a number significant in the year 2011 because it will have four dates that consist of multiples of the number 1, such as 11/11/11.

This year we will experience 4 unusual dates…. 1/1/11, 1/11/11, 11/1/11, 11/11/11

So try this out…. take the last 2 digits of the year you were born plus the age you will be this year and it WILL EQUAL …. 111.

For example:

If you were born in 1984, you would be 27 years old this year.
84 + 27 = 111

If you were born in 1954, you would be 58 years old this year.
54 + 58 = 111

Crazy isn’t it!
